Hard Chrome Plating

Hard Chrome Plating is a process that is used extensively in the Hydraulics Industry. Also known as Industrial Chrome, this type of finish can be applied to most ferrous metals and some non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass. It can also be applied to all types of stainless steel alloys. Hard Chrome is applied to metals as a means of improving resistance to wear and abrasion, preventing seizing and galling, restoring the dimensions of undersized parts and reducing friction.

A Hard Chrome finish improves the performance of objects such as:

Industrial Bronze Plating

Industrial Bronze Plating can be used on its own or in combination with hard chrome plating to produce extreme corrosion resistance in a number of Industrial Applications. Other uses of the metal finish include the possibility of building up the thickness of a metal to an excess of 1mm, and for sealing the Substrate before we apply Hard Chroming. Our Bronze Plating application has an Extreme Corrosion Resistance of up to 2000 Hours. The finish is rated 9 with Salt Spray testing.

Chrome on Bronze

  • For Extreme Corrosion Resistance (2000 Hours + Salt Spray Rated 9!)
  • Possible to build up thickness in excess of 1mm
  • Is used to seal the Substrate before Hard Chroming

  • Can be used as an intermediate layer under Nickel
